Larry Welden Larry Welden


Larry Welden held a BA from California College of Arts & Crafts, and an MA from California State University, Sacramento. He was an art instructor at Sacramento City College from 1960-1985. Welden painted in watercolor and acrylic – on paper and canvas. His focus was on landscape painting, with the main subjects of his work being the “big shapes” and “big forms” in nature: land, sky, and water. His work has been exhibited in dozens of solo and group exhibitions including at the Solomon Dubnick Gallery, the Crocker Art Museum and the Artist Contemporary Gallery, Sacramento.  His work is held in the collections of Kaiser Permanente Hospitals, University of California Davis Medical Center, and the California College of Arts and Craft.
