From October 7 - 9, 2020, the Office of Arts & Culture will work with Los Angeles-based Creativity Matters to bring the 2nd Creativity Summit to Sacramento teens. This year's summit, The GRID Festival, is a free, three-day digital festival celebrating creativity. The virtual, live-streamed summit will give Sacramento County students ages 13-18, an opportunity to explore their creative interests and passions. Through workshops, industry spotlights and performances, the GRID provides a pathway to personal transformation and career preparation for young people by expanding their understanding of why creativity is essential for the future job market and particularly relevant to the high-tech and creative economies. Content providers will include Spotify/Soundtrap, Adobe Ed, TeachRock, Music Forward, Square Root Academy, Girls Make Beats, WURRLYEdu, and more.
