GET SUPPORT FOR YOUR WORK IN THE ARTS

The Office of Arts & Culture is devoted to supporting, promoting, and advocating for the arts in the region. In an effort to best serve our community, the Office of Arts & Culture provides programs and opportunities open to the public.

ARTS EDUCATION

Arts Education program provides access to, and engagement in, arts learning experiences for residents of all ages in the greater Sacramento region. 

GRANTS

Arts and cultural organizations are offered grant opportunities to encourage their growth and to broaden their offerings to Sacramento communities.

PUBLIC ART

The nationally renowned Art in Public Places program was established in 1977 to expand public experiences of visual art by installing artworks in public spaces. 

GALLERIES

The Gallery program provides visual arts experiences in public locations. The ongoing series of free public exhibitions showcase the artistic and cultural resources of the region.

HOLIDAY MUSIC SERIES

The Holiday Music Series is presented by the Office of Arts & Culture and the Sacramento International Airport to bring high‐quality, diverse performances that are representative of the region and its residents to the Airport for the enjoyment of holiday travelers. In 2015, the office of Sacramento County Supervisor Susan Peters presented Holiday Music performances at shopping centers in Sacramento County.

SYMPHONIC MUSIC LIBRARY

The Office of Arts and Culture has more than 1,100 symphonic scores and musical works from the former Sacramento Symphony available to local and regional performing organizations on an on-loan basis.

POET LAUREATE

The Sacramento Poet Laureate program is designed to extend and bring to life the power and beauty of poetry and the spoken word to our community and to increase literary awareness in Sacramento County.
